I have always used a sunbeam, which I still like, but have been pleasantly surprised when using my new KitchenAid!! The glass bowl sold me!

I love love love my new Kitchen Aid mixer !!! My family gave it to me on my birthday last February. I've wanted this mixer for a long time but it's so expensive so my kids and my husband split the cost and bought me one! It works just GREAT !!! As you can see in the photos, I've been baking bread which I'm not able to do with my old sunbeam mixer. That hook with the kitchen aid mixer is just lovely, just lovely as I don't have the muscles to knead. My first time to make cinnamon buns was a success! See photo...

I have wanted to have this mixer forever. I have it now finally and couldn't be more pleased. From performance to just how beautiful it looks in my kitchen, I know it will bring me years of pleasure. I'm excited to add attachments as well.

Used for the first time yesterday to mix ground beef with other ingredients for porcupine beef balls. Mixture was completely mixed within a couple seconds.

Always a staple in my kitchen. This is my second mixer to add to my collection, I'm keeping my first, yes. I will be using both mixers for efficiency. They make life so much easier!

I bought this mixer 1 1/2 months ago. I tried to make cookie dough but the unit made a terrible grinding noise. I exchanged it for another and tried to make pizza dough. The head lock kept vibrating off causing the head to bounce wildly as it was kneading. Took it back to the store and got another one. Unpacked it and started to make cookie dough only to find the spring on the paddle post was missing. The paddle won't stay on without it. Sending this unit back and will try again. If this one is a bust, then I give up. I must say that I really like that they got rid of the aluminum paddle and replaced it with a coated one. KA's quality control is not what it used to be. Still, I have gone through two others in my lifetime and I still want another.

My review is not an incentivized review. I bought this and I cook a lot and started using it for pizza dough. If I could return it I most definitely would. I wish I would have read the reviews thoroughly to see that most are incentivized. Straight out of the box the head wobbles and struggles. I have done every screw it says to tighten and it still doesn't work!!!! Rather annoying and I will be doing my research before I purchase another unit to replace this one!! Upon looking up how to fix it. It's a huge problem. Super unhappy and would not recommend!!

I can't believe how much I [thought I] wanted a KitchenAid mixer over the years, and how excited I was to finally get one so I could enjoy baking even more in my retirement years. And now I can't believe how disappointed I am. Boy, did I let reputation fool me. Did the designers of this thing ever try mixing any cakes or frosting, or were they too busy making it a jack of all trades rather than the master of a few?
It's pretty unbelievable that I paid $300 (on sale!) for a mixer that slings ingredients everywhere like this thing does. (I've used it 4-5 times now, and yes, I've tried both the regular beater and the flex edge beater.) I wish I'd done more homework. I wish I'd read earlier about the folks who found a "solution" - lying a dish towel over the machine to catch the flour, powdered sugar, or liquids. Oh, that sounds safe. IT NEEDS A LOWER SPEED.
I should've given more thought to buying a mixer whose head is not offset from the bowl, enabling you to add ingredients more easily, but at least you showed me a picture, so that one's on me.
So...the lowest speed is too high, and it's hard to get stuff in the bowl. I'm stuck with an expensive, pretty mixer that can't mix slowly enough such that I end up doing some of the mixing by hand.
WHY ON EARTH DON'T YOU MAKE A POURING/SPLATTER SHIELD FOR THE GLASS BOWLS???
Oh - and you can engage the motor while the head is lifted. Brilliant. Glad I didn't have a beater on it while I was cleaning up all the flour. Yes, I had to clean the flour from around and out of the switch.
I sure do miss my 30 year old Black and Decker stand mixer. I'm sure my niece is enjoying it.
Shame on you, KitchenAid. Shame on you. And shame on me for falling for something that has turned a relaxing, enjoyable pastime into a chore.

This mixer is the best bang for your buck for the home baker. It's not the highest powered machine, but it has worked beautifully for everything I want to do so far. My Italian meringue skills have skyrocketed!
One thing to note, it is not great for small batch. It doesn't seem to get to the bottom as well when there's not a lot to mix.

My old Sunbeam mixer was 28 years old. I did a lot of research before I purchased this mixer. I like the power and speed it offers when mixing. I also like the size and shape of the bowl. The beaters that came with the mixer are not the best but I will eventually purchase the Flex Edge Beater as it is supposed to not require the use of a spatula to scrap the sides. The beaters must be washed by hand or the coating will discolor and flake off. The mixer is very heavy and is not easy to store in a cabinet. I keep it on my counter and have it sitting on a plastic cutting board so that I can slide it from underneath the cabinets to a working position with ease. I then must set it off of the cutting board so that I can use it. All things considered I am happy with it. I hope this one lasts a long time as well!

My husband bought this for me as i was complaining that my classic was to small. I do a lot of baking.every 2 weeks i make dog biscuits. I was wonderfully surprised at how much more powerful this machine was. The color is beautiful. A real piece of eye candy for the kitchen. The glass bowl although a little heavy is much more convenient than the old metal one. I have used this machine at least three times week since receiving it. The only thing i don't like about it is the uncoatted attachments. I prefer the enamel coated classic attachments. I recommend this machine to anybody that loves to bake and wants to add some class to their kitchen

This is amazing! So easy to use and clean!! I use my all the time for minimal things like baking cornbread or for more complex! It helps me out! It's perfect and looks so good on my counter space

Received this for Christmas from my husband (I asked for it). It has been easy to assemble and disassemble for washing and mixes and blends things a whole lot better than I could do with a hand mixer. The simplicity is wonderful

I've wanted a kitchen aid stand mixer for as long as I can remember, and now that I have one I can't live without it! I use it at least once a week and it has really opened up the possibilities for what I can make in my kitchen. The glass bowl makes it look so chic too.

This is my third KitchenAid mixer in my 40 years of cooking. The mixer is sturdy and is user friendly plus as times have changed the option of more colors to select from is a plus so now it looks great on my kitchen counter.
